The Legatus does, and gains the friendship of Caesar. Unfortunately, Caesar attempts at retrieval has resulted in failure, and so he asks the Legatus to retrieve it for him. Caesar's personal journal has been stolen by a man named Agrippa, and he wants to get it back. If the Legatus earns the trust of Caesar, then the soldier will ask them for assistance in a personal matter. and eventually earns the trust of Caesar to help him in a serious matter. The Legatus will ask Caesar questions about himself, the island, etc. After the ambush, when the Legatus is deciding whether or not to spare the triarchus, he sides with sparing him.Īfter the battle, the group arrives at Lucullus' warcamp on the western side of Lesbos. When the boat is ambushed on its way to Lesbos, Caesar takes up arms to help defend it. The Legatus talks to him, where it is revealed that Caesar is a new soldier to the legion, and that he left Rome because it was starting to get dangerous to him. He is one of two other passengers who boarded the ship, the other being Bestia Tabat.
Gaius Julius Caesar appears on the same ship the Legatus takes to Lesbos.
